Land of Medicine Buddha

Description: Hike through 130 acres of serene redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains and encounter Buddhist shrines along some of the trails.
You can pick up a trail map at the visitor center. There is a beautiful 6-mile loop which follows a creek for the first mile. The entrance to this trail can be found near the little parking lot before the wooden bridge. You can also wander around the Buddhist retreat center visiting the Buddhist shrines.
Leashes Required.
It is a little tricky to find off Prescott. Once you reach the end of Prescott, go left towards Medicine Buddha to what appears to be a dead end with Tara Redwood School on your right. Look for the ONE WAY sign on a small road going upwards. You can either park up at the retreat center or along the little parking area you passed before taking the small road before the school.
